THE SACRAMENTS
Baptism
An instruction class for all parents of children to be baptized is mandatory. Contact the parish office if you wish to attend a class. Click HERE for Baptismal information. |
Eucharist
Receiving the Eucharist changes us. It signifies and effects the unity of the community and serves to strengthen the Body of Christ. As we receive Christ’s Body and Blood we are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. If you have questions about receiving the Eucharist, please contact the Parish Office and someone from the pastoral staff will be happy to speak with you. |
Anointing of the Sick
Formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction
Persons who are seriously ill or scheduled for serious medical procedures should receive the sacrament. The sacrament may be celebrated at any Mass with the community of faith. A priest is also available upon request to administer the sacrament privately at another location. In addition, St. Mary has two special Masses each year specifically for 'The Rite of the Anointing of the Sick'. The Sacrament of the Sick can be received as often as one’s condition warrants.

Matrimony
The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant relationship between the husband and wife, a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God. At least one individual must be a member of St. Mary’s Church. A minimum of six months preparation notice is required before the wedding date. Please phone the parish office for more information. |
Holy Orders
Ordination to the priesthood is always a call and a gift from God. Those who seek priesthood respond generously to God’s call using the words of the prophet, “Here I am, send me” (Is 6:8). If you have questions about becoming a Permanent Deacon or Priest, please contact the Parish Office and Fr. David will be happy to speak with you. |
