PARENT AND STUDENT
First Reconciliation/First Eucharist Gatherings

Catechesis for the sacrament of First Reconciliation /First Eucharist takes place within the parish community, which has an obligation to participate in the catechetical preparation of those who receive these sacraments.  As the primary educators of the children, parents are to be intimately involved in catechesis for Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

Attendance at the Reconciliation/First Eucharist classes is extremely important in preparing the candidates for reception of the sacraments.  When a class is missed the candidate loses time for fellowship and prayer as well as the material covered that day.  Students are expected to be prepared for classes, which includes completing any assigned readings and homework.
